Why You Need Sisters in Christ to Make it in This Life was a revelation in recent years that I discovered. Over the years I have realized that I cannot do this life alone. I mean don’t get me wrong, I am not a Mom Group kinda gal. I am actually a Mom Group dropout. Oops!???? But, I have realized that I need women in my life that I can relate to. We all need mentors, friends and sisters in Christ to move forward in this life.

But, before I get into that…. speaking of sisters in Christ, I am hosting a FREE Live 7-Day Daily Devotional Challenge starting today! It’s not too late to sign up! Go HERE to sign up: https://52-weeks-of-scripture.subscribemenow.com/

Why You Need Sisters in Christ to Make it in This Life

  1. Accountability: Your sisters in Christ hold you accountable with class. Jesus does not punish, so your mentors and friends should not either. They should be people that can hold you accountable with grace, not by pointing fingers, mocking or punishing.
  2. Mentorship: Listen, this one is a hard one sometimes. Us as women, do not feel we need mentorship sometimes. But the truth is, we do. We need women who have gone before us to help us through this journey of life. They get it, so what better people to help you than someone who has already been through it! Accept the mentorship and learn. We all could learn more and strive to be better than we were yesterday.
  3. Fellowship: We are meant to fellowship. No matter if you are an introvert (me, me, me) or an extrovert, we all need people to fellowship with. But they need to be like-minded. If they are not walking the walk of Jesus with you, they may not be the ones to get too close to.

Why You Need Sisters in Christ to Make it in This Life

We need our sisters in Christ! In the past, I thought I could do it on my own, but over the years I have learned that I need them more than ever. I am an introvert at heart and my circle is very small. But here’s the thing, it does not matter how big or small your circle is. What matters is the heart. Sisters in Christ have a heart for you, they love you unconditionally and they will never waiver from Jesus. Once you find them, don’t let them go!

I even have sisters in Christ that I have never been able to hug, because our relationship is over the internet, social media or Zoom. I never thought I would have sisters in Christ over a computer, but man I sure am glad I do! These women are always there for me when I am down, ready to pray with me and for me and will give a guiding hand anytime I need it.

Titus 2:3-5: Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.
