Join me for Sunday Blessings for Everyday of the Week: A Daily Devotional for a week and plan for great things to happen!

I am a firm believer that as a woman, a mother, and the holy spirit of my household, I should always be in God’s word. I fall short a lot! And I mean A LOT!

I try every single day to be the woman God wants me to be. When I have the guidance of the Lord and a daily devotional, I seem to do a lot better with making time for God and His word.

Sunday Blessings for Everyday of the Week: A Daily Devotional

A Daily Devotional

Monday

Everyday choose to Love:

Choose to love your neighbor. Show compassion to everyone, even if you don’t agree with them. Love them.

I see every singe day the wrath of people on social media. People who are wanting to get their point across or wanting to argue with someone that disagrees with their beliefs; many of which are mean and hateful. Stop the hate and stop being so mean. Try loving your neighbor and I promise you will show them the spirit of the Lord much faster than through venom and hate.

Turn your eyes to heaven and thank God today for giving you such an amazing and wonderful life. Thank Him for the love that surrounds you and your family. Let today be the first of many that you love with all of your heart. Love with an agape love.

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” —I Corinthians 13:13

Tuesday

Everyday sing Praises:

As daughters of God, sing praises to our King.

I love my mother with all of my heart and soul, but as kids we would tease her. I know, I know we shouldn’t tease our mother… why? because we love her, of course. But, we would tease her about her singing. I really have no idea why because she really does not have a bad voice, she sings beautifully. But, while at church she would belt out her favorite hymns and we would pretend to be appalled and move down the pew. (She is probably going to kill me for putting this on the world-wide web. Sorry mom! :-))

But what I remember the most about those church days and what made her voice even more beautiful, now that I look back, was her passion behind what she was singing in church. She had such passion about the song that worshiped her King. She made a joyful noise and she didn’t care who heard it. Now that is true worship! And now that I look back, I know where I got my worshipping spirit. She was a wonderful teacher of worship, she may not have known she was teaching us then but she was. She taught us to worship our King without pretense or fear of what others thought!

Give yourself permission today to worship God through singing…..

“Sing to him a new song; play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts.” —Psalm 33:3

Wednesday

Stand with Your Savior:

Stand with your Savior today and everyday. Pray with me the following prayer:

“Show me, God, the importance of waiting on you, and diligently preparing for the moment when I’ll stand before Your throne. Help me every single day to live the way you want me to and by Your word and Your word alone. Help me to be more like you everyday on this journey called life for I know I will walk with you soon.”

“Lord, reveal to me the end of my life and the number of my days. Let me know how short-lived I am. Now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in You.” —Psalm 39:4&7

Thursday

Stand on God’s promises:

God’s promises are more powerful and fulfilling than anything sin promises. Stand in His promises for you and your life.

We have to fight against sin’s promises with God’s promises. Replace the lies with the Truth. God promises that He knows what’s best for us, and that this world’s promises are empty. We must fight promises of sin and falsehood with Promises rooted in God’s Word. This is active warfare!

“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” —Psalm 16:11

Friday

Pour out your heart to God:

No matter what your circumstances, this is the first step: pour your heart out to God. No matter where you are in life.

Trust in Him at all times, sweet lady; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for you.

Trusting in God is easy when life is easy. But what about the valleys and dark times of our life? It’s those hard times that requires us to use Scriptures just like this one. We need to remind our souls to trust in God. We desperately need God’s truth to be on the tip of our tongue and at the front of our minds always. Trust in Him today and everyday!

“Trust in Him at all times, O People; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.”—Psalm 62:8

Put God first...Saturday

The worth of His word is powerful:

Do you realize the worth of God’s word? It is a weapon. A spiritual weapon to actually defeat lies, strongholds, and reveal deep, hidden truths inside your own soul. Yes, it is! Now use it! It is more valuable than any amount of money or material possessions.

Memorize it. Trust in God’s promises found in His Word; cling to them and fight for them every day. And Pray out those promises you know from scripture! Use your weapon today and everyday!

“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”—Hebrews 4:12

Sunday

Have a humble spirit and heart:

Serve others, love others and be humble. Jesus calls us to model our life after His. We need to seek it.

We need to think of others before ourselves. And not only that, but count others as more significant than ourselves! This is so counter to our culture, isn’t it? If you are on this planet for any amount of time, it doesn’t take long to realize how selfish people are. Humility is a rare trait, but a beautiful and Kingdom minded one that we are all need to pursue with all that is in us.

I don’t know about you, but this verse below gets me every time. There is never a time when I don’t need to hear it! I know how much I need to be reminded of how self-centered I am inclined to be.. Even in my thoughts towards others.

Be mindful today and everyday to have a humble heart!

“Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.” —Philippians 2:3
