Get ready to Jump Start Your Fall With These Simple and Easy Ideas that will make any household buzzing with Fall!

Fall is finally here and I could not be happier! Although we don’t get much of a Fall in lower Alabama, this year has been a little different so far. Hurricane Irma came ripping through Florida so in return we got a lot of wind and it brought cooler weather.

Updated 9/29/2022: Hurricane Ian just came through Florida yesterday and brought some cooler weather for us. (The same as it did with Irma a few years back. Crazy!)

Our Fall are probably quite different than all of yours due to our warmer weather, but we do everything we can to make our Fall feel crisp, fun and relaxing. Check out some of the things we do to show our Fall spirit in L.A., otherwise known as Lower Alabama.

Can’t Live Without Fall Recipes

If you visit my house during the Fall there is a good chance that you will smell pumpkin or apple. I love making healthy snacks for the family this time of year and truth be told some of them aren’t so healthy…. Some of them would not fit on a weight loss plan. But that is okay, you only live once, right?!

Fall Fashion

I do not know about you, but I love Fall Fashion. I love the colors and the cozy clothes, It all just excites me and makes me happy. Around late August I start yearning for Fall weather so I can wear my Fall clothes. Although it does not get cooler here for a long time, I manage!

Fall Home Decor

A great way to spruce up your home would be to decorate with Fall decor. I know after the long and hot Summers we have in the Deep South, I am ready for something different. It’s a good reason to get out your warm blankets you have had stored away out. It’s a simple way to boost your mood too!

Fun Fall Crafts

When my kids were little we loves doing crafts on a regular basis. And they especially loved Fall activities. There was something about the crisp air outside that got them excited about the task at hand. It was a perfect time for us to spend together and an easy way to keep them entertained. We even took homeschool outside a time or two and had a outdoor classroom.

Here are some fun activities or crafts that will have a positive effect on your kids this Fall:

Fall Activities at Home or in Your Town

  1. Go to a farmers market in your town. I know they have lots of Fall produce and sometimes fun activities for the kids.
  2. Start a flower garden at your house. Or better yet, start your spring garden now. Some flowers can be planted now to enjoy next year. Make sure you research what would be a good idea to plant in your region of the United States… or in your own country.
  3. Work on your mental health by taking a walk. I know in my neck-of-the-woods it is a great time to exercise outside, not too hot and not too cold. Breathe in the fresh air before the long winter months.
  4. Practice healthy eating this time of year since it is so easy and seasonal produce and great crops are out and ready to be eaten. They will provide you with essential nutrients that you won’t get the rest of the year.
  5. Grab a friend you haven’t seen in a while and visit your local coffee shop.
  6. Start a compost pile. Fall is a great time to start composting, if you aren’t already.
  7. Make a Fall Clean-Up Tasks list. Every year bring it out so you can stay on top of the seasonal chores.

Have a great Fall, my friends! Hopefully this helps to Jump Start Your Fall With These Simple and Easy Ideas!
