Here’s the thing my friends, Do Not Let Politicians Rule Your Life. They do not have that authority if you do not give it to them.
God’s Authority is the Only Authority
A lot has gone on in our country this week. Our hearts are heavy, we are confused, we feel hopeless and we may even feel a bit grumpy too.???? But I’m here to tell you, don’t feel confused, hopeless or grumpy. The Bible is being played out, BUT guess what?! Spoiler alert, GOD WINS!
I get it…. it’s hard to not feel all of those things, because we are human! We are imperfect, but the beauty of it all is we are called by the Perfect One and a perfect plan. God is perfect! His plan is perfect! Some of the actions of our world are brought on by free-will, not by God, BUT God knew it was going to happen before it happened and He has a plan. If you want to know His plan and what you need to do to get through this world right now, you have to seek Him. Seek Him by reading His word, seek Him by praying and seek Him by worshiping. Seek His voice and His voice only!
No politician, whether mayor, governor, president, senator…. I think you get the idea… will save you. But, guess who will? Jesus will! He is the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow. He will never change! Elected officials will come and go, but Jesus will not.
Do Not Let Politicians Rule Your Life
God will always be God, Jesus will always sit on the thrown and the Holy Spirit will always be there to guide me. No matter what is going on in our lives that stays the same. I have never had a politician love me unconditionally. I have never had a politician to help me no matter what I do. And I have never had a politician to not waiver in their beliefs. But I can trust Jesus to love me for being me, to help me no matter what I do, and to never waiver.
Hebrews 13:8- Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
This world is not our home, so our job is to not be apart of this world. We aren’t called to be apart of this world, but to be His disciples. We are called to show the love of Jesus to others and to invite them to learn more about Him. And for that we will be ridiculed, censored, punished and so much more. God said we may be uncomfortable in this world, but the reward will be plenty.
1 John 2: 15-17- Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.
Do Not Let Anyone Censor You
Some have tried to silence me this past week for being His disciple, but I won’t allow them to. I will continue to not put my life into a politicians’ hands, but in God’s hands. I will continue to speak His truth and not the world’s and will continue to tell others about Him always.
