Okay disclosure before I start: I love Pinterest! I have gotten some great ideas from Pinterest for my home, kids pretend play, Homeschool, recipes, etc. I also love reading great blog posts too on Pinterest! With that being said, in the beginning, it also made me into a crazy woman! I had pinned and pinned and pinned and pinned (okay you get the idea). Then I had no time to actually do any of these pins I wanted to do! I pinned at night when I couldn’t sleep or when I was up with babies. I am guilty of pinning things like this:

An awesome Homeschool room!
But, in all reality, it looks like this!

The toys add such luxury don’t they? Nice touch right?! Yes, I thought so!Or how about the things I would love to cook but don’t! I dream big on Pinterest, I really do, don’t I?! Look at what kinds of foods I pin!

Can you tell I like cake? I really like it when someone else bakes it for me though!
Those of you who know me, know this, I can be a little out of control with organizing. I even have myPinterest boards organized just so. It’s a little ridiculous! I know it’s goofy, don’t judge me! The point I am trying to make here is the one thing I have to watch the most onPinterest is comparing myself to other moms and women.I love reading other moms’ blogs. (By the way, check out all of these Blogs! I follow them all!)  They all have a lot of great ideas, A LOT. But, we all have to watch ourselves, we can fall into the trap of comparing ourselves with others. Just because we don’t do it the same as other mamas, it doesn’t mean we are doing it wrong. We all just do things differently. For instance, my friend, Kristin (we go way back, to high school) and I do things for our home, family, kids and recipes totally different. We are still the best of friends, and believe it or not our homes function and nothing falls apart…well most days! Over the last few years that I have had Pinterest, I have learned to take good advice and respect the fact that if it doesn’t work for me or my family, no sweat. It’s ok! Pinterest is a great tool, but use it wisely and don’t try to compare yourselves with others. That can be dangerous, take it from someone who has been there!Of course we not only need to apply this with Pinterest but with every aspect of our lives. Being a mom and woman is hard at times but, once you find your confidence and know that what you do is right for you and yours the whole world will run much smoother. You are more than welcome to check out my crazy Pinterest boards and see how out of control I have gotten. I have boards from Homeschooling to Home Decor and of course, Food, HERE.

I also have a lot of Travel Boards HERE.

I use the example of Pinterest to say this: God made you unique, He made you to be one of a kind. He doesn’t make UGLY!

Warning, use at your own discretion. Stay strong people, stay strong! Has Pinterest been a good tool for you? Do you fall into the trap of comparing yourself to others?

Okay one more, I can’t resist! Whoever makes me this will be my new friend. All of my friends now have been demoted, you didn’t make me cake! (Just kidding LeAnn, no cake for me! PiYo 60 day challenge strong!)
